FREMONT, Ind. (WLKI)- Fremont Community Schools is advising local businesses that Elite Sports does not represent the school corporation or its athletic department in advertising, sponsorship or promotional matters.

In a letter to business partners, Superintendent Dr. William Stitt said the athletic department is not affiliated with or working through Elite Sports for advertising or sponsorship campaigns.

The school corporation said Elite Sports had indicated it would provide Fremont Community Schools with 300 T-shirts, 1,000 cups, 500 water bottles, four banners and 1,000 mini footballs or basketballs for the football and basketball seasons.

According to the letter, those items have not been provided.

Fremont Community Schools said it does partner with a separate third-party organization for its annual discount card program. However, the school corporation said Elite Sports does not represent the school or its athletic programs.

School officials said they want local businesses to have accurate information so that sponsorship and advertising investments directly benefit student-athletes and school programs.

Businesses interested in athletic advertising or sponsorship opportunities are asked to contact Fremont High School Athletic Director Jake Kinsey or Fremont Middle School Athletic Director Rob Hale directly.
